Timberlane, a U.S. manufacturer of fully custom exterior shutters, struggled with legacy, cabinet‑shop software and a separate, non‑integrated online configurator that couldn’t enforce valid options or carry orders through to engineering and manufacturing. The result was frequent errors, time‑consuming manual drafting, and no true end‑to‑end order-to-production process.

Timberlane implemented Epicor CPQ (KBMax), a visual configurator that enforces valid product rules, generates 2D renderings, BOMs and work instructions, and feeds manufacturing. In six months they automated order entry and work‑order creation, eliminated configuration errors, dramatically cut drafting time, added an aluminum shutter line, integrated inventory with their ERP, and now maintain and extend the configurator in‑house.
