The Baker Company, a Sanford, Maine manufacturer of laboratory and medical-device equipment, needed a modern ERP to support its high-volume make-to-order production and to integrate with today's technologies. After 15 years on Epicor DataFlo, Baker sought stronger product configurator and manufacturing capabilities, better compliance support, and seamless third‑party integrations.

Working with EpiCenter, Baker migrated to Epicor ERP and deployed modules including MRP, Quality, Engineering, the Epicor product configurator, RoHS compliance, MES/barcode scanning, and integrations for shipping and document management. The implementation improved productivity, quoting and order turnaround, shop‑floor visibility and security, and reduced lead times from 8 weeks to 2 while lowering inventory and enabling growth without adding staff.
