Streamlining Business Processes, Reducing Costs and Leveraging Automation

Webster Industries, a make-to-order industrial equipment manufacturer, was looking to streamline its business processes from customer purchase orders through production and invoicing. The company turned to Epicor, using Epicor Kinetic and later Epicor EDI, to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and better manage growing operational complexity and skilled labor shortages.

Epicor implemented integrated configurators, EDI, maintenance automation, and mobile inventory tools to automate order creation, document exchange, and shop-floor material requests. As a result, Webster now generates more than half of its quotes and orders through configurators, cut EDI errors by 75%, and reduced exception analysis time from about five minutes to 30 seconds. The migration to Epicor EDI was completed in about 100 days and delivered a more intuitive, lower-cost solution with strong visibility and hands-off monitoring.
