Smurfit Kappa Ireland, part of the Smurfit Kappa Group and a leading corrugated packaging supplier with ten business units across Ireland, needed to replace aging, disparate legacy systems that could not support growing multi-plant operations. Key challenges included the lack of a centralized database, limited ability to route and track orders between plants, inconsistent reporting and procedures, and insufficient stock visibility and unit-level traceability.

SKI implemented Epicor BVP (integrated with OM Partners’ scheduling) to provide a centralized estimate-to-cash solution tailored to corrugated manufacturers. The rollout—now running across ten plants—delivered order-routing for cost efficiency, real-time multi-plant order and inventory visibility, stronger credit and returns controls, faster stock reconciliation, and management dashboards and KPI reports, producing immediate operational improvements and better information sharing across the business.
