Chelyabinsk Zinc Plant (CZP) is a leading Russian metals producer that mines and refines zinc and zinc alloys, holding over 60% of the domestic market. Facing the need to modernize isolated systems across a geographically dispersed enterprise — including a remote newly acquired plant in Kazakhstan — CZP required a full ERP to unify information, meet IFRS and budget-control requirements, and overcome local shortages of IT and financial specialists.

With PricewaterhouseCoopers advising, CZP implemented Epicor iScala in phased modules (accounting, logistics, sales, fixed assets, HR/payroll for 1,600 employees, and investment management) and enabled remote access via satellite for the Kazakhstan site, going live in three months.
