Repligen, a Waltham, MA–based life sciences company specializing in single-use bioprocessing systems, faced rapidly growing demand for its configurable ProConnex® Flow Paths—assemblies of up to 200 parts used in biologics and gene therapy production. Manual, engineering-driven quoting and inconsistent customer inputs (sketches, photos, text) made configuration slow, created long lead times, and forced a choice between hiring more engineers or automating the process; Repligen needed a user-friendly configurator that integrated with Salesforce and enforced technically correct designs.

Repligen implemented Epicor CPQ’s cloud-based configurator (3D drag-and-drop, Snap rules engine, CAD automation and Salesforce integration), enabling sales reps to build validated assemblies with hidden real-time pricing, auto-generated CAD/PDF drawings and BOMs, and one-click updates back to Salesforce. The solution cut quote turnaround from weeks to minutes, reduced engineering workload, improved quote accuracy and adoption across the commercial team, and positioned the company to scale and pursue further integrations.
