Abu Dhabi Precast, one of the largest precast concrete manufacturers in the UAE and Middle East, struggled with an ERP system that could handle basic accounting but not the complex operational needs of its industry. The company needed better visibility into raw material usage, finished-product costs, and project progress across manufacturing, delivery, and installation, or risked hurting profitability. Epicor implemented Epicor Kinetic in the cloud with a productization approach tailored to Abu Dhabi Precast’s workflows, enabling real-time budget tracking, automatic nightly expense reconciliation, barcode-based element tracing, and alerts for overruns. The solution was deployed remotely during the pandemic and integrated with BIM and the holding company’s ERP dashboards. Abu Dhabi Precast expects at least a 5% improvement in raw material utilization efficiency and anticipates full ROI within two years, while gaining the insight needed to improve profitability.
