Centor, the world’s largest supplier of regulatory‑compliant prescription containers with a manufacturing plant in Berlin, Ohio, faced the challenge of replacing a 20‑year‑old production monitoring system and instituting standardized data collection and reporting to gain deeper, real‑time insight into production, quality, and process performance.

Centor implemented Epicor Mattec MES to monitor injection‑molding and stretch‑blow‑molding equipment (and auxiliary systems like chillers and resin hoppers), standardize OEE reporting, and enable SPC/SQC and auto‑acceptance at the machine. The system delivered faster, automated reporting, higher machine efficiency and OEE, reduced scrap, improved quality control, better uptime and predictive maintenance, and greater labor productivity by allowing operators to run more machines.
