PetroLiance LLC, an Apex, North Carolina–based petroleum distributor formed in 2006 from four regional distributors, faced the challenge of unifying four different resource-management systems into a single, scalable platform that could support multiple locations, 100+ concurrent users, and tight integration with specialty petroleum applications. The company needed a robust, SQL/Windows-based distribution system that could be upgraded and integrated easily while handling complex industry requirements.

PetroLiance implemented Epicor Prophet 21 and partnered with Epicor’s dedicated development team to tailor the solution; the rollout began in 2007. The unified platform improved integration with outside applications, streamlined enterprise resource management, and delivered operational efficiencies—leading to better pricing, scheduling, routing, dispatching and warehouse management—and reduced transactional, inventory and delivery costs, with further gains expected.
