Peterson Packaging, a leading corrugated-packaging supplier headquartered in Sarpsborg, Norway with operations across Norway, Finland, Sweden and Denmark, struggled with multi-country, multi-currency and multi-language complexity. Their legacy systems were not designed for the packaging industry, which made estimating complex displays, tracking outsourced work and controlling outsourced costs difficult.

In 2007 Peterson implemented Epicor BVP (with OM Partners scheduling), replacing disparate legacy systems with an industry-specific solution. The unified system improved visibility and daily KPI reporting, sped product creation from about 20 minutes to 5, delivered time-savings across the enterprise and supply chain, improved estimating for complex and outsourced items, and was subsequently rolled out to Finnish plants with further expansion planned.
