OW Lee Company, a specialty outdoor furniture manufacturer, needed a modern way to gain real-time visibility into inventory, purchasing, production, engineering, and accounting while managing a complex made-to-order business. With over 300 furniture frames produced daily and 500+ customization options, the company struggled with an older AS400 system that lacked the control and insight it needed. Epicor Kinetic was selected to help address these challenges.

Epicor, working with Cre8tive Technology and Design, implemented Epicor Kinetic and extended it with custom tools like an “aggregator” to group similar jobs by materials and a configurator to simplify custom product creation and tracking. The result was better inventory management, faster order entry, improved costing and pricing accuracy, and more efficient production. OW Lee Company also gained the ability to analyze profitability at the individual project level, helping it stay more competitive and more profitable.
