Norgren Automation Solutions Upgrades To Gain Further Business Efficiences

Norgren Automation Solutions (NAS), the Saline, Michigan division of Norgren and one of North America's largest suppliers of modular tooling, faced growing pressure from demanding customers, shorter lead times, high product-mix/low-volume production runs, and expanding international demand. After running a heavily customized Epicor DataFlo system for more than a decade, a company merger made it clear NAS needed a standardized, enterprise-wide ERP to synchronize data and simplify future upgrades.

NAS upgraded to Epicor Vantage to standardize and synchronize ERP data across the enterprise. The move built on prior Epicor-driven gains—such as a custom scheduling tool that raised on-time delivery from ~60–70% to 99%—and has improved operational efficiencies, supported lean manufacturing by reducing waste, and helped maintain high customer service. Epicor guided the upgrade process, and NAS recommends Epicor’s solution to other engineering organizations.
