A Epicor Case Study

Preview of the National Importers Case Study

National Importers - Customer Case Study

National Importers is a Vancouver-based food distributor and importer operating multiple warehouses in Canada and the U.S., with about 120 employees and a high-volume supply chain. The company faced manual, time-consuming demand planning and replenishment processes that led to high write-offs, missed opportunities and difficulty aligning Sales, Marketing and retailer forecasts while trying to reduce inventory without hurting service levels.

Working with Summa Tech, National Importers implemented Epicor ERP integrated with RockySoft to automate statistical forecasting, dynamic safety stock, containerization and a forecast-validation process. In the first year they cut inventory by 45% in Canada and 60% in the U.S., raised service levels to ~97% (Canada) and 99% (U.S.)—over 99% when excluding external supply issues—reduced clearance stock by 50–70%, and improved lead times, buyer efficiency and sales responsiveness.
