A Epicor Case Study
Morris Auto Parts is a single-store, 20-employee auto parts supplier in Philadelphia that needed better inventory visibility, faster and more accurate warehouse and counter operations, and a way to compete more effectively while coordinating with other independent jobbers. The company’s challenge was to reduce working capital tied up in stock, speed order fulfillment and delivery, increase counter productivity and support outside sales with current data.
Morris implemented Epicor Prism as a shared system across the United Jobber Alliance, added RF barcoding and scanning, AConneX for electronic orders, ODBC integration for dispatch, and laptops for outside sales. Prism’s inventory balancing and reporting automated transfers, freed up tens of thousands of dollars monthly, cut counting time, reduced returns, boosted counter throughput and delivery performance, and improved customer confidence and sales.
