Merryweather Foam, a Barberton, Ohio–based fabricator and distributor of flexible foam with three plants (Ohio, Alabama, New Mexico), serves about 500 customers and produces some 2,700 custom parts. The company needed to fully integrate its multi-plant operations but had a very small IT staff and budget, and wanted to minimize inventory and work-in-progress after struggling with a heavily customized, multi-vendor ERP setup.

Merryweather implemented Epicor CMS as a single, turnkey solution, including integrated EDI, bar-code labeling and shop-floor management. The system eliminated manual label/data entry (freeing 2.5 staff), harmonized MRP across sites, and significantly reduced inventory and WIP—delivering measurable productivity gains and better order/production coordination.
