Industrial Specialties Manufacturing (ISM) is an ISO 9001–certified manufacturer and global distributor of miniature pneumatic, vacuum and medical components based in Englewood, Colorado. After changing ownership in 2006, the 22‑employee company needed to rebuild its aging technology infrastructure and replace a character‑based UNIX system with a modern ERP to support growth, quality processes and a broad e‑commerce/catalog strategy.

ISM implemented Epicor Prophet 21 with Professional Services and Business Consulting (go‑live April 2007), using process mapping, ongoing training and integrations (credit card, UPS, fax/email) to align the ERP with ISO workflows. The system delivered real‑time metrics for on‑time delivery, margins, inventory and sales opportunities, improved customer service and responsiveness to cost changes, and enabled year‑over‑year revenue growth while maintaining profitability without proportional headcount increases.
