A Epicor Case Study
Yoder’s Shipshewana Hardware, an 18-employee hardware and home center in Shipshewana, Indiana, struggled with complex specialty inventory sourced from many suppliers and local vendors. Manual processes and inconsistent SKU/UPC use made inventory counts and ordering inaccurate and time-consuming.
By implementing Epicor Eagle and engaging the Epicor Business Accelerator consultants, Yoder’s adopted ranked product analysis, suggested-order reports, stricter inventory-change controls via the Physical Inventory Posting (PIP) function, and SKU/pricing procedures for handcrafted items. The changes cut more than five employee-hours per week on ordering, increased inventory turns and accuracy, and enabled the team to accomplish more with fewer people.
