Franklin Foods, a 124-year-old cheese manufacturer and subsidiary of Hochland, was looking to replace labor-intensive, error-prone paper processes in its accounts payable department and improve visibility into credit memo handling. To address these challenges, Franklin Foods worked with Epicor and Mosaic, using Epicor Enterprise Content Management (ECM) and Epicor Intelligent Data Capture (IDC) to automate document processing.

With Epicor, Franklin Foods digitized AP workflows, freeing staff from invoice processing to focus on higher-value work like financial analysis. Epicor’s solution also reduced paper, toner, and energy use, supporting sustainability goals, and enabled a new credit memo workflow with centralized document packages and a three-level approval process. The result was greater efficiency, better control, improved visibility, and actionable insights for quality improvement across plants.
