Edge Web Hosting is a Baltimore-based managed cloud hosting provider that needed to replace eight disparate systems and multiple data sources with a single, scalable platform. The company’s challenge was to migrate varied data structures into one repository and provide engineers a “single pane of glass” for CRM, ITSM, CMDB, quoting, provisioning and support while continuing rapid growth.

Edge implemented Epicor IT Service Management (ITSM), using its attribute-based data model and web services API to consolidate 13 years of information, build a custom customer portal, and streamline CRM and quoting workflows. The unified platform enabled cohesive operations, efficient support of 20,000 websites across more than 2,000 servers, paid for itself within the first year, and allowed Edge to scale its managed hosting business.
