Cook’s Pharmacy, a three‑store, 54‑employee independent pharmacy in Eminence, KY and an Epicor Eagle customer for 25 years, struggled with paper gift certificates that were time‑consuming, inaccurate, required back‑office adjustments, and failed to present a professional store image.

They implemented the Epicor Eagle Gift Card module so cashiers can ring cards like any SKU, automatically track balances and PR donations, and issue gift cards for returns of $25 or more. The change reduced labor and errors, improved store branding (custom card images and vendor ad space), increased foot traffic and sales (about 60% of donated cards are redeemed), kept refund dollars in the business, and generated some advertising revenue.
