Cerrey, a Monterrey-based manufacturing company with about 350 employees, faced a critical IT challenge: its 1990s HP3000-based ERP was obsolete—limited to daily reports, monochrome screens, no Internet access—and could no longer support the company’s growing domestic and international needs. After a structured vendor review in 2004, Cerrey selected a modern ERP to replace the fragmented “islands” of information.

Cerrey implemented Epicor Vantage (decision in October 2004, rollout beginning January 2005), standardizing projects on the new platform and achieving rapid adoption (about 80% of projects on Epicor by year-end). The solution delivered immediate integration and real-time tracking, improved purchasing efficiency with lower storage and fixed costs, simplified accounting consolidation, revealed operational opportunities, and provided a flexible, upgradable technology foundation.
