A Epicor Case Study
Central Parking Corporation, the world’s largest parking services provider operating across the U.S. and in 15 other countries, faced a paper‑bound accounting bottleneck: more than 100 remote locations sent tens of thousands of invoices monthly, reliance on expensive overnight couriers and CD‑based scanning created two‑week delays and made documents hard to search, putting heavy strain on AP staff and financial controls.
In May 2002 Central Parking implemented Epicor Enterprise with doc‑link (Altec’s integrated document management), tightly integrating imaging with its financial system to capture checks, scan and route invoices electronically, and enable side‑by‑side voucher/invoice viewing and electronic approvals. The change eliminated much of the paper handling, boosted productivity, saved over $150,000 per year in courier/copying/labor costs, and achieved a 14‑month payback, with plans to expand doc‑link into other departments.
