A Epicor Case Study
Brintons Carpets, a Kidderminster-based carpet manufacturer with around 2,000 employees across multiple UK and international sites, faced growing demand for both standard and highly customized products while operating on an ageing, hard-to-maintain mainframe system. That legacy software lacked manufacturing planning, good integration with finance, and the flexibility needed to support customised production and wider business growth.
Brintons implemented Epicor Tropos ERP across its sites and used the Epicor SDK and Tropos Network Interface to develop about 80 custom components and integrate third‑party tools, creating a single, tailored system for production, planning, finance and logistics. The change cut IT resource needs by over 75%, saved an estimated £1 million a year in IT costs, and delivered improved process visibility, agility and a scalable foundation for future expansion and integrations.
