A.Y. McDonald Industries, a long-established manufacturer of water works, plumbing, pumps, natural gas, and plastic molding products, needed a more efficient, future-ready way to support growth and keep essential operations running. To replace manual, spreadsheet-based processes and improve visibility across its 13 facilities, the company turned to Epicor, using Epicor Advanced MES and rolling out Epicor Kinetic across its subsidiaries.

Epicor implemented an integrated solution that connected production, inventory, purchasing, shipping, and financial data into a single source of truth. The results included faster maintenance response times, better scheduling and workflow optimization, improved forecasting and on-time delivery, and a largely paperless operation—cutting paper and toner spending by about $18,000 per month and making the foundry completely paperless, with 40% of factory operations paper-free.
