Axminster Carpets, a renowned British manufacturer of 100% wool carpets with operations in the UK and Ireland, faced an urgent need to replace an 18-year-old mainframe and consolidate multiple site systems. The company sought better stock control to reduce yarn wastage, optimise production scheduling across three locations, and gain faster, more accurate reporting to support tight cost and quality controls.

Axminster implemented Epicor Tropos ERP (with CODA Financials), giving real-time stock visibility, improved production scheduling and reporting tools, and the ability to develop and upgrade solutions in-house. The system has enabled monthly yarn stock reviews instead of six-monthly reports, dramatically reduced wastage, accelerated response times and reporting, and is being rolled out to additional sites to further streamline material scheduling and cross-border stock movements.
