Carr Sales Company, a privately owned wholesale electrical supplier in Spokane, Washington, needed to grow sales and expand product lines but was constrained by limited inventory control, manual order processing, and no electronic data interchange (EDI). The company’s challenge was to improve inventory and order tracking, enable EDI, and raise customer service levels across the business.
Carr implemented the Epicor Eclipse ERP to centralize inventory, order entry and accounting, and to deliver analytics for optimized stocking and reduced dead inventory. The system sped purchasing and quoting, provided real-time A/R and A/P visibility, reduced freight and inventory costs, increased order-size discounts, and ultimately drove higher sales and profitability.
