a multi-national oil and gas company needed to complete a confidential SAP system carve-out to support the sale of a subsidiary. The challenge was to extract a single company code, which shared a controlling area with other entities, into a standalone cloud system without disclosing confidential business history to the new competitor. They engaged EPI-USE Labs to utilize its Data Sync Manager Landscape Transformation (LT) product for this complex task.

EPI-USE Labs implemented its System Landscape Optimisation services and used Data Sync Manager LT to automate the carve-out, creating a new system shell and extracting only the relevant, filtered data. The project was delivered successfully and on schedule. The data export took seven hours and the import only four, which was significantly faster than traditional methods, resulting in the project being completed in a very short period of time at a much lower cost.
