Edwards, a leading developer and manufacturer of vacuum products, faced challenges managing data in its SAP test and training environments, requiring multiple full copies of production data that were costly and time-consuming to provision. The company engaged EPI-USE Labs to implement its Data Sync Manager solution, specifically the DSM Client Sync and DSM Data Secure products, to create smaller, more manageable subsets of data.

EPI-USE Labs' solution enabled Edwards to drastically reduce the size of its test systems, saving 7.5 TB of disk space at peak and cutting annual costs by approximately £30,000. The DSM tools automated the refresh process, allowing Edwards' own staff to quickly provision systems without relying on an external hosting partner, which also saved an additional £10,000 in project costs. The implemented solution ensured sensitive data was masked and provided the company with the ability to efficiently test and retry system conversions.
