RaySafe, a leading provider of X-ray radiation measurement solutions, faced the challenge of modernizing its outdated, manual radiation dose-management system. Their goal was to streamline administrative procedures, create a first-to-market cloud-based application, and simplify reporting to regulatory authorities. To achieve this, they partnered with vendor EPAM Systems.

EPAM developed RaySafe S1, the first cloud-based dose management software. This solution visualizes patient doses, integrates with global X-ray equipment, and automates reporting, which helps medical staff optimize doses and reduce faulty scans. The results included reduced radiation exposure, improved image quality, and long-term cost reduction from less waste. The innovative application was recognized with a Red Dot Award for Communication Design in 2013.
