EPAM Systems engineered the RainDrop™ Digital PCR System, applying aerospace techniques to create a device that breaks a single blood drop into 10 million droplets for individual DNA analysis. The solution, which used high-speed processing and optical technology from DVD players, resulted in the most sensitive bio-detector of its kind.
