Procter & Gamble partnered with EPAM Systems, through EPAM Continuum, to reimagine its stagnant floor-cleaning category. P&G needed a new way to compete in a crowded market and meet its goal of creating $5 billion in revenue from new product lines, so it sought help designing a breakthrough home-cleaning product.

EPAM Systems helped develop the Swiffer, an entirely new “fast clean” home-cleaning line that made floor cleaning quicker, easier, and more enjoyable. The launch was highly successful: Swiffer generated $100 million in sales in its first four months, sold more than 11.1 million starter kits in the U.S. within a year, and went on to become a leading P&G brand with about $500 million in annual sales.
