Liberty Global wanted to reinvent the television experience with its new Horizon platform by providing viewers with highly personalized content recommendations. To achieve this, the company partnered with EPAM Systems, challenging them to create a cross-platform application that would increase viewer engagement and create new subscription opportunities.

EPAM developed the solution leveraging technologies including Adobe CQ5 CMS and the ThinkAnalytics platform to power a flexible, multi-lingual system with contextual content recommendations. This allowed Liberty Global to deliver a unique, personalized experience for each user. The project was a major success, earning EPAM the 2012 Global Vendor Award for Innovation and Breakthrough from Liberty Global and resulting in the successful launch of a social and highly engaging viewing platform.
