Enhancing Tele2’s Digital Experience with a Customized eCommerce Platform

Tele2 Netherlands, a subsidiary of the Swedish telecom challenger Tele2, needed to boost adoption of its digital channels and move toward an entirely digital sales and workforce model while also adapting to a merger with T-Mobile Netherlands. To support this shift, Tele2 worked with EPAM Systems to modernize its eCommerce experience and improve conversion, speed of change, and cost efficiency.

EPAM Systems built Tele2’s customized eCommerce platform on Magento Commerce, integrating it with 14 legacy business applications and enabling API-driven, headless capabilities, A/B testing, and ongoing feature delivery. The new solution improved time to market and customer experience, helped increase site traffic by 20% to support up to 20,000 unique visitors per hour, and raised order volume by 15%, while also winning the DDMA Dutch CRO Awards 2020 audience award.
