Delivering the Entertainment Platform of the Future for Liberty Global

Liberty Global, a leading global media and entertainment company, faced a challenge with its fragmented, country-specific entertainment platforms, which were costly and difficult to scale. They needed to deliver a unified, multi-device viewing experience to meet rising customer expectations. To address this, they partnered with vendor EPAM to develop a next-generation product, the Horizon 4 entertainment platform.

EPAM implemented a comprehensive solution that included a new cloud-native microservices architecture on AWS, a redesigned user experience across STB, mobile, and web, and a shift to an Agile development process. This resulted in a highly successful launch; over three million users adopted the Horizon GO app, the product received Liberty Global's highest-ever NPS score, and the company saw the lowest video attrition in its history following the Q1 2018 rollout.
