Georgian Farmers’ Association improves irrigation monitoring with EOSDA Crop Monitoring across 14,500 hectares

The Georgian Farmers’ Association (Gfa), a non-profit focused on strengthening Georgia's agricultural sector, faced challenges due to the low adoption of digital tools among local farmers. A lack of precise weather forecasts, historical agronomic data, and insights for optimizing irrigation and inputs prevented farmers from achieving higher yields and profitability. To address this, Gfa partnered with vendor EOS to utilize their EOSDA Crop Monitoring platform.

EOS provided a solution through satellite monitoring, giving Gfa centralized access to critical data including vegetation indices for crop health, moisture levels for irrigation management, and historical weather information. This enabled the association to offer improved agronomic consultancies and field productivity mapping services. The results included more efficient coordination with government and donor bodies, significant time and fuel savings by reducing field inspections, and a demonstrated improvement in crop health for clients after optimizing irrigation practices.
