FHC produces stereotactic platforms in hours with EOS GmbH

FHC, a worldwide leader in neuroscience products for over 40 years, sought to transform traditional neurosurgery by creating customized stereotactic platforms. Their challenge was to manufacture these patient-specific surgical tools with high precision and strict medical standards, while also controlling costs and delivery times. They collaborated with EOS GmbH, utilizing the EOS FORMIGA P 100 SLS 3D printer and PA 2201 polyamide powder.

The solution implemented by EOS enabled the rapid laser sintering of the STarFix platform in only hours. This allowed FHC to produce individualized fixtures tailored to each patient's anatomy directly from a 3D model. The results included greater patient comfort, increased surgical accuracy, and time savings in the operating room. EOS technology provided precision at reduced costs within record delivery times, and allowed for design fine-tuning that reduced assembly time.
