Kingston Technology Reigns Supreme Over Credential Security

Kingston Technology, a global leader in memory manufacturing, faced a significant challenge securing its user credentials against the increasing threat of password-based attacks. Relying on native Microsoft Active Directory features was insufficient, as penetration testing revealed numerous weak passwords and left a gap in protecting against credentials exposed in third-party breaches. To meet NIST guidelines and strengthen security, they turned to the vendor Enzoic and implemented their product, Enzoic for Active Directory.

The solution from Enzoic continuously screened passwords against a vast database of compromised credentials, both at creation and on an ongoing basis. This automated the process of identifying and forcing the reset of weak or exposed passwords. As a result, Kingston drastically improved its security posture. The implementation was straightforward, significantly reduced IT workload, and educated users on creating stronger passwords. Crucially, in just the first quarter of 2023, Enzoic identified and helped remediate 265 previously secure passwords that had become compromised, directly protecting business continuity and production.
