Next Star Communications, a Sprint Preferred Retailer operating 33 Atlanta-area stores, faced limited visibility into store transactions and employee behavior: entry-level video lacked multi-angle and audio coverage, POS and fraud reports couldn’t be easily reconciled, conversion rates were hard to measure, and losses from employee and customer theft (including a fraud ring) were mounting. To solve these challenges Next Star turned to Envysion and deployed the Envysion Wireless Retail Solution Suite.
Envysion delivered a cloud-based, time-stamped integration of HD multi-angle audio/video with POS data, automated exception and loss-prevention audits, and a Scorecard for traffic-to-sales conversion monitoring, all accessible via mobile. As a result, Envysion helped Next Star significantly reduce customer churn and inventory shrink, improve conversion and coaching across stores, and supplied court-admissible video used in a $100,000 fraud case across its 33 locations.
