Lionsgate, a Santa Monica–based entertainment company with 1,500+ employees across three locations, needed a fast, safe way to bring people back on-site during COVID-19 while preserving the in-person collaboration essential to film and TV work. With some staff remote and social distancing reducing capacity, the facilities team faced the dual challenge of welcoming visitors and employees safely and right‑sizing the office footprint through flexible seating.
Lionsgate rolled out Envoy Protect and Desks (plus Visitor and Deliveries features) to run daily health screenings, manage occupancy and exposure tracing, and provide a scalable hot‑desking system with team neighborhoods and mobile booking. The result: symptomatic staff are screened before leaving home, employees can reserve safe workspace through one app, more people feel confident returning to the office, and Lionsgate gains data to reduce wasted space and control costs.
