AMAG Pharmaceuticals is a publicly traded biopharmaceutical company with about 570 employees and more than 7,000 annual visitors across multiple U.S. facilities. Operating in a highly regulated industry (SOX, FDA, FTC), AMAG needed a reliable, easy-to-use system to maintain audit-ready visitor records, reduce security risks, and ensure everyone on-site was clearly identifiable—their previous DIY solution proved unintuitive and difficult to enforce.

AMAG implemented Envoy’s SOC 2–certified, iPad-based sign-in and dashboard, plus badge printing and pre-registration. The system was quick to set up and lets staff export CSVs for audits, issues photo ID badges with color-coded lanyards, and sends host notifications. As a result, AMAG now keeps seamless digital records for compliance, easily distinguishes visitors from employees, streamlines front-desk operations, and has stronger overall physical security.
