A Envisio Case Study
The City of Bellevue, a culturally diverse Washington city, faced a stalled Diversity Advantage Plan that “sat on a shelf” because staff didn’t know roles or next steps. In 2017 the City Manager’s Office and Community Development adopted Envisio to manage, execute and report on the Diversity Advantage Plan, nesting it within the city’s broader strategic plan to drive accountability and clarity.
Envisio implemented a cascading framework of strategies, actions and tasks with assigned owners, due dates, metrics, personal dashboards and automated reports so updates roll up into live reports for management and City Council. As a result, the plan is now embedded across departments with measurable tracking of cultural competency and racial and social equity; Envisio is also being used to manage the Affordable Housing Strategy (21 action items toward a 4,000‑unit goal) and the city strategic plan (25 three‑year priorities and 140 tasks), turning aspirational goals into tracked outcomes.
