Case Study: Tullow Oil achieves safer TEN FPSO project delivery with ERM risk and safety studies

A Environmental Resources Management (ERM) Case Study

Preview of the Tullow Oil Case Study

Tullow Oil completes a 12-month safety program with ERM

Tullow Oil required comprehensive safety and risk assessment studies for its TEN Floating Production and Storage (FPSO) project offshore Ghana during the FEED phase. Environmental Resources Management (ERM) was engaged to deliver its technical safety expertise and conduct a range of specialized studies for the project.

ERM implemented a 12-month program, performing Quantitative Risk Assessments, HAZOP/HAZID studies, and other critical safety evaluations. The solution leveraged ERM's global team of specialists, who worked closely with Tullow and its contractors across multiple international locations. This support enabled Tullow to demonstrate that all safety risks on the complex project were reduced to a level that is as low as reasonably practicable (ALARP). ERM continues to provide support into the subsequent EPC phase of the project.
