Trinseo completes a seamless EH&S transition on time with ERM

Trinseo, a global materials solutions provider, needed to establish an independent environmental, health and safety (EH&S) organization after its spin-off from The Dow Chemical Company. The challenge was to transition services away from Dow while maintaining world-class EH&S performance and meeting key metrics. Trinseo engaged Environmental Resources Management (ERM), a firm they were already partnering with on a behavioral safety program, to support this large-scale transition of services.

Environmental Resources Management (ERM) partnered with Trinseo to co-design and implement a new EH&S function, including selecting a fit-for-purpose technology platform and building new work processes. The solution utilized an agile approach and emphasized change management and training. As a result, Trinseo achieved a flawless transition that maintained its outstanding EH&S performance, successfully engaged users and stakeholders, and established a foundation for continuous improvement well into the future.
