Federated Hermes Infrastructure, a leader in responsible infrastructure investment, sought to evolve its management of climate-related risks and opportunities (CRROs) to align with Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) recommendations. They partnered with the vendor Environmental Resources Management (ERM) for specialist support in understanding these risks and opportunities across their portfolio.
Environmental Resources Management (ERM) implemented climate scenario analysis and provided ongoing advisory services. This work identified material risks like carbon pricing exposure, informed asset management plans, and was updated with the latest climate data to support a comprehensive TCFD report. The results enabled Federated Hermes Infrastructure to prioritize engagement with portfolio companies, enhance resilience, and ultimately publish their Infrastructure TCFD report, effectively managing climate impacts to protect and create value.
