Semrock expands SearchLight to iPad, iPhone, and Android with Envative

Semrock, a business unit of IDEX Health & Science, faced the challenge of adapting their complex online fluorescence instrument design tool for mobile use. Their distributors needed an iPad app for field and offline use, requiring seamless integration with internal systems and a sophisticated UI/UX. They partnered with Envative, a Rochester-based expert in iOS development, to create a mobile prototype.

Envative developed the Semrock SearchLight™ mobile app for iPad, which was later expanded to iPhone and Android versions. The solution provided an interactive tool for evaluating instrument performance, leading to quick adoption by Semrock's user base. The project's success was so positive that Semrock recommended Envative to a sister company for a subsequent project.
