Westpac Pacific, served by Entrust, needed a scalable and secure way to improve customer experience by issuing debit cards faster across its 51 branches in the remote Pacific. Previously, new Handycard debit cards had to be printed in Australia, forcing customers to wait up to two weeks and make multiple trips to complete account opening.

Entrust implemented an instant issuance solution using Datacard® CardWizard® issuance software and the Datacard® FP65i™ financial card printer. The new program enabled Westpac Pacific to issue personalized cards and PINs immediately in branches and during outreach to rural communities, helping the bank reach underserved customers and support its Everywhere Banking strategy across Fiji, Papua New Guinea, and beyond.
