Two-Factor Authentication for Bayernoil with Entrust Datacard

Bayernoil Raffineriegesellschaft mbH, a Bavarian refinery company, needed a stronger, more user-friendly two-factor authentication approach to secure network access for both employees and business partners. The company wanted a hardware-independent solution that would work across LAN and remote access, as well as on fat clients, thin clients, tablets, and smartphones. Bayernoil turned to Entrust IdentityGuard from Entrust, implemented with support from IDpendant.

Entrust delivered a standardized authentication platform using IdentityGuard Enterprise Server, client access licenses, a self-service module, mobile soft tokens, mini tokens, and GridCards. The solution improved security while keeping login simple for users, and was later extended across all users, mobile devices, and Citrix StoreFront integration. Bayernoil said the rollout successfully met its self-service, mobile, and Citrix requirements, delivering a clear advance in both security and user-friendliness.
