State Bank of India - Customer Case Study

State Bank of India (SBI), India’s largest public sector bank, wanted to create a more innovative, differentiated banking experience to stay competitive with increasingly digital-first customers. To support its “Next Generation Banking with a difference” vision, SBI looked for a way to improve in-branch service and offer one-stop financial services. Entrust Datacard provided the instant issuance technology, including Datacard CardWizard issuance software and CE870 instant issuance systems.

Entrust Datacard helped SBI launch seven sbiINTOUCH digital outlets with self-service kiosks that can issue fully personalized debit cards instantly. The solution also supports account opening and online banking access, helping SBI improve service delivery, response times, and customer convenience while enabling personalized offers, account visibility, banking and wealth advice, and predictive digital analytics. As a result, SBI now has a more efficient, self-service banking model aimed at attracting younger, tech-savvy customers.
