U.K. Bank, a major global financial services provider, wanted to improve customer satisfaction and retention by speeding up the process for replacement EMV-compliant debit cards. Working with Entrust, the bank explored an instant issuance approach to help customers receive replacement cards immediately instead of waiting 7 to 10 business days for mail delivery.

Entrust implemented a full end-to-end instant issuance solution using Datacard CardWizard software and Datacard CE870 instant issuance systems, along with services and supplies. After a successful branch pilot and positive customer feedback, the program was rolled out to 267 branches across the UK within one year, improving convenience, security, customer loyalty, and the bank’s competitive differentiation.
