Liberty Bank, the oldest mutual savings bank in Connecticut, wanted to improve customer experience, loyalty, and debit card adoption as debit use surged. To address this challenge, the bank worked with Entrust and its Datacard CardWizard instant issuance software, along with PIN selection technology, to deliver cards faster and provide a better service experience.

Entrust implemented an instant issuance debit card program that let Liberty Bank issue active cards in branches immediately instead of waiting 7 to 10 days for mail delivery, and added PIN transfer capabilities for quick reissuance after card compromises. The results included stronger debit card penetration and activation, with the case study reporting a 65% penetration rate and an 82% activation rate, along with improved customer satisfaction and faster card replacement.
